Family: Scrophulariaceae Some Common Names: Woolly, Flannel mullein, shepherds club, Aaron’s Rod, Torches... Some Common Uses: honey-scented flowers flavor liqueurs and yield skin-softening mucilage. The expectorant, soothing and spasm sedating properties of the leaf and flowers are used to treat raspy coughs and are added to herbal tobacco. There has been proof of anti-tubercular activity in plant extract. The flowers reduce eczema inflammation and help heal wounds, the seed oil soothes chapped skin, the root is a diuretic, and a homeopathic leaf tincture treats migraines and earaches. The wooly leaf wraps preserve figs and are used as tinder and emergency bandages. Get Current Prices Click Here - must be logged in or register.
