Family Name: Rutaceae Some Common Names: Hercules’ club, toothache tree, tingle-tongue, pepper-bark, southern prickly-ash... Some Common Uses: toothaches and mouth pain. Chewing the bark increases salivation. Rubbing the fruit on the skin causes a loss of sensation. The fruit, bark and root also have properties that effective as a diuretic, stimulant, anti-rheumatic, anti-spasmodic, and itchy skin.
